If you cant get both I would wait. Civ 5 will have much improved graphics and a hexagonal grid instead of a square one. If you can afford both get Civ 4 to learn basic Civilization and get good for when the new one comes out on September 21st.

Should I buy Civilization IV or wait until September when Civiliztion V comes out?
I've played Civilization Revolution and I loved it. I just bought a computer and I want to get Civ V, is Civ IV worth buying this close to Civ V's release?Should I buy Civilization IV or wait until September when Civiliztion V comes out?
