I installed it, but it told me that it may not run properly because of windows vista etc, and compatability, i know this computer is good enough though, and right now i hate vista! My dad managed to get sims 2 working on this despite vista, but he's not here right now, could someone tell me or guide me through what to do? I'm Lost.

You probably need to set the game to run as administrator or run in xp mode.
Right click on the civ4 start icon, set to run as administrator, if that fails set it to run in xp mode.How to play civilization IV computer game?
It will work fine as long as you don't install the patch for it, then it doesn't work
