How can I play Civilization IV in windowed mode?

I see no option for it in the game.How can I play Civilization IV in windowed mode?
How to play Civ IV in Windowed Mode:



1. Once you are playing the game, press the %26lt;Esc%26gt; key to bring up the Menu Panel.

2. Click on the Options Tab.

3. From the Options Menu, select the Graphics Tab.

4. In the Graphics Module, make sure that the Full-Screen Mode box is unchecked.

5. Exit from the game

6. When you restart the game, it will be in Windowed Mode.



7. If you want to resize the Window, return to the Graphics Module, Click on the Screen Resolution pull-down menu, and change the game resolution. The lowest resolution for my system is 1024 x 768, while my desktop is set at 1280 x 1024.



8. To switch from the game to your Windows Desktop, click the Minimize Tab in the top right corner of the game screen, or simply move the window by placing your cursor on the upper border of the game screen and dragging.



If you would rather set up parameters in the INI file for Civ IV, then follow these instructions:



(1) Browse to C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 -- or your Civ4 root directory.

(2) Double-click "_Civ4Config" -- this will load CivilizationIV.ini, which is actually stored somewhere in your MyDocuments... _Civ4Config is a shortcut to it.

(3) Find the line that reads "FullScreen = 1"

(4) Change the 1 to either 0 or ask (ask will make a pop-up when loading the game that lets you choose each time)

(5) Save and Exit

(6) Reload Civ4.



To specify the resolution of the game window (e.g., to 1024 x 768), do the following:



(7) load the Config file as described at (2) above

(8) Find and change ScreenHeight from 0 to 768

(9) Find and change ScreenWidth from 0 to 1024

(10) Save and Exit.

(11) Reload Civ4.



Note: in windowed mode you cannot 'bump' the screen edge to scroll the map. Use your keyboard's arrow keys instead.



If you prefer playing in Full-Screen Mode, you can switch from the game to your Windows Desktop by pressing %26lt;Ctrl%26gt;-%26lt;Esc%26gt;. This minimizes the game to your Task Bar, but takes at least a few seconds, even if you have a fast computer (2.4 GHz or higher), a good graphics card (256 Mb or more), and plenty of RAM (4 Mb or greater).How can I play Civilization IV in windowed mode?
I don't think you can with the standard implementation. I'm almost positive that you'd need to either alter the code or use a modification from somebody else who did exactly that.
