How to move settlers in Civilization IV?

I have galleys and other boats, how do I get the settlers on the boats and across the ocean? And how do I get fishing boats?How to move settlers in Civilization IV?
You simply have to get the settler (or any unit really) near the boat and then move it onto as if you were moving on land.
